Nepal is the land of geographical diversity which is extended from lowland of Terai at the altitude of 60m from sea level in the south to highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest (8848m). Nepal is located in the centre of the Himalayan range which boasts more than 1000 peaks above 6000 including the highest of the world Mt. Everest. Nepal is the home to 8 highest mountains of the world out of 14 above 8000m; they are Mt. Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Makalu (8463), Lhotse (8510m), Cho Oyo (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Dhaulagiri (8167m)and Annapurna (8091m). Nepal is most popular and sought destination in the world for peak climbing and mountaineering.
